Bob Marley in Delaware

Did you know the famous musician Bob Marley used to live in Wilmington Delaware?

Bob Marley moved to Wilmington at the age of 18. Between the years of 1963 and 1977 Bob lived in and would also visit Wilmington since that is where his mother resigned. He worked as a DuPont lab assistant, and on the assembly line and as a forklift operator at a Chrysler plant in nearby Newark.

 One Love Park in Wilmington is named after famed singer/songwriter Bob Marley. Every year Wilmington hosts an annual Peoples Festival 4 Peace & Tribute to Bob Marley.
